Need recommendation for a surveyor in or near Austin, TX

After years of dreaming of owning a sailboat, my wife and I found a Catalina 25 on Lake Travis in Austin, TX. It is a really nice, well maintained boat, and this weekend I made a verbal offer contingent on a survey. This is a private party sale, and we are going to sign a purchase agreement this week, but I want to get the jump on tracking down a surveyor.

I found one local surveyor that was recommended to me, but I would like to see if anyone has any recommendations of good surveyors in the Austin, TX area.

Thanks in advance,

Patrick

Patrick, we used Thomas Pollock of Pollock Marine (Cell 512 964-9955, Office 512 261-9955).

Thomas surveyed our new boat about two years ago and found only a few minor defects. We're not aware that he missed anything. Just so you know, Thomas prefered to make the survey without my presence. He was recommended by someone whose opinion I respected, so I agreed.
