another short list

The concept of posting your personal short list for comment intrigues me, so here''s mine: Morgan 38 CB Yawl, Bristol 35.5C, Pearson 35, Tartan 34, Dickerson 36 Ketch, Mariner 32 Ketch, Freedom 33 Cat Ketch, Herreshof Cat Ketch, and Ted Brewer''s 32'' Lazy Jack Schooner. Also I am curious about the Hunter Cherubinis (33 & 37), and am strangely attracted to the Hallberg Rassy Rasmus.
Most of these boats are centerboarders (shoal + windward ability) most are available under $50K, and all are (to me) good looking boats.
I do think one of the first jobs of a sailboat is to be beautiful.

Just for the record, although sometimes listed incorrectly, the Hunter 33 is not a Cherubini design.

We''ve got similiar lists, with the exception that you are looking for a centerboarder, and I am after a fixed keel.
Have you looked at the Pearson 365? Not sure whether it''s a centerboarder or a shallow full keel, but they were very popular, and quite a few of them on the market. Good luck, and have fun. John Gov.

I am looking at cruising cats for living aboard. I am interested in the smaller(yes,older) Prouts, Catalacs, and Heavenly
Twins models. Any one have any experience with these boats? Any suggestions?

Brian, I didn''t mean to sound belittleing in my last post! Sorry if I did! I''ve been looking around for my 3rd year now. But I haven''t seen too many in that price range. Try 2hulls.com and catamaranco.com , thier both in FLA. Good luck, sorry again!

I''m new to this message board business, so I don''t know protocal, but I am bringing this back to the top of the board. In my original posting I was hoping to receive comments, suggestions for similar boats, critiques, etc etc. All opinions are solicited, negative or positive. (Jeff H I know these are probably not your type of boats, but I respect the range of experience you have displayed on this net)

I''d skip the Hunter 33. The one I used to sail felt like it was going to explode when I pushed it sailing in 25kn on the coast of Maine back in the ''80''s. The rudder would vibrate so bad we''d have to crank Zappa''s "Dynamo Humm" just to drown out the noise.....eclectic selection of boats you''ve got there, too.

Good taste in music by the way ("Dynamo Humm").
By eclectic, do you think my list is inconsistent within itself?
