Wauquiez or Bristol

Is there a significant difference in build quality between a Wauquiez Hood 38 I or II and a Bristol 38 (both Hood, centerboard designs)?

While on the subject of differences in build quality - is there a significant difference between the build quality of a Beneteau First 38 and an Oceanis series of the same LOA (Bene 381, for example).

Or are the differences primarily in sailing characteristics?

I have sailed an Oceanis series but not a "First" series.

My sense is that the Wauquiezes are slightly better constructed than the Bristols but that the Bristols are more expensive.

The First are generally better built than the Oceanis series, with substantially better deck hardware and are generally much better sailers and faster, at the expense of interior space for a given length.
