We have a 1990 Cabo Rico 34. I can't speak for all Cabo Ricos but the ones I know of have a layer of balsa glued to the inside of what is essentially a finished hull. Then another layer of fiberglass is applied over that. It is not a structural part of the hull but is placed there for the purpose of sound and temperature insulation. So it really is not a cored hull. I have never heard of anyone having problems with this.
