Ranger 26

There is a Ranger 26 for sail, that is at an attractive price, so next week i am going to take a look at it. I have done some searching here and it appears they are considered nice boats. I haven't been able to find out too much more then this are Gary Mull designed and nice club racers. This is a Lake Michigan boat and I would be using for day/weekend sailing, Limited cruising, mostly single handing.

What are their good points and what are their bad points?

I've sailed on a Ranger and they are boats that sail well to their rating. However, I suggest you sail it before the purchase. They are somewhat tender and can be a handful downwind.

FYI: There is also a Ranger 26 designed by Richards and built in Kent, WA, totally different kind of sailboat - cruiser/trailerable/'woody' plastic
