I found this kind of funny

I was surfing craigslist looking for a cheap outboard and came across this beauty of an ad. Okay, it is for a power boat, but still good for a giggle:

i have a 23 ft boat and trailer for sale. trailer needs tires and some tail lights replaced. gvw is 6000 on trailer. boat has blown 454,interior is shot, out drive looks good but has no propeller.merc 7.4. price to go. no title on trailer 600.00 or bo

At $600, you are buying the motor and all else is "please remove this junk from my lawn"

You do realise a "blown 454" refers to a 454 SUPERCHARGED motor and not one that has blown up and is now junk, don't you?

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Unless you're the one who placed the ad--I'd call you a REAL OPTIMIST. [g]

I found it funny because the person just keeps pointing out negatives, and at the end says the trailer will be next to impossible to register.

I've got a trailer that didn't come with a title. I don't have it registered. I use it twice per year to take my boat to the mooring location. I swear I'd register it if the DMV/Sec. of State would let me!

Some states don't title trailers. In GA if the weight of the trailer is under 2k pounds, they don't title. Doesn't matter how much the trailer can carry, just the weight of the trailer. They do register it (read take your tax dollars) and give you a tag.

Now he can tell his wife he tried to sell it and that there aren't any takers -- they'll have to keep it.
