I now own "Skinny Legs"

We just purchased a,1987 Pearson 33-2, "Skinny legs", (Hull # 102) In Marblehead Ma.
She's quite a jump up from our Columbia Sabre but it was time for a bigger boat.

This will be a long winter waiting to get out on her.

Even though we plan on cruising more than racing, I have a list of upgrades I need to make to bring her up to racing speed.
This should keep me busy till spring.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Sabre66 --

Big congrats to you! You'll love the boat, but I'm biased (owner of P-33-2 #146.) Yes, a long winter for you, but the chandleries up there will welcome you with open arms -- as long as you open your wallet.

Again, best wishes!

Congratulations. You'll have a nice winter getting to know her, an excellent chance to really look at how everything goes together and what's in good shape and what isn't.

... the anticipation of that first time under sail will keep you warm and toasty all through the cold months...

Awesome! I looked her up on YW. She is very similar to my CS34. Welcome to my love/hate relationship with the centerline salon table. Now go fill up that cocktail shaker in photo #23 and celebrate!

Congratulations. If you need a dinghy for "Skinny Legs", I recommend a Fatty Knees.
