Then you probably want to look at slightly smaller and closer t0 15 year old boats.

Jt, a 38-42 ft 7-8 yr. old cruiser/racer for $100K, I do not think is realistic. I agree with Jeff H, you may want to consider 12-15+ yr. old boat in the 33-36 ft range.

As an aside I am always hesitant describing a boat in 'foot lengths'. How did you descide on 38-42 ft, a 38 ft boat can be very different from a 42 ft boat. For example, my Dehler 33 is about 8500-9000 lbs, however a Dehler 36 is 13,200+ lbs, they are very different boats, although each have a galley and sleep the same number of people.
