Any ramifications in buying a canadian registered boat that is located in the US by a US citizen for use in the US? Boat was originally made in the US.
My understanding is that boats made in North America do not have duty either way because of free trade. My Canadian built boat that just came from the US wasn't charged any duty at the border or when it was registered in Ontario.
