The connections into the steaming light and deck lights were corroded. These would be copper wiring in the elements, obviously.

Do you mena they have no problems because they are still working, or they have no problems because they have looked at them and there is no corrosion or issues? The lights worked during the survey... but in the two weeks down there we had increasing problems.

Big difference.

Have you had any corrosion issues with your wiring? WHat did you do on your T52? Same years as dad's. WHat about other owners?

CD...I think one will always have problems with the connections on deck lighting depending on how much time they spend in salt water and how well you can seal them. Most of my problems occur within the lights at the contact points between bulb and socket...but occasionally you have to clean up the wiring as well. A bit of emery paper and 5 minutes does the trick.
As I said...other than at contact points in exposed areas...I've had ZERO issues with my all copper wiring and in working with it to add in new items, it is evident that it has many more years of life ahead.

No longer posting. Reach me by PM!

I did have a port running light connection corrode but consider that just normal maintenance.
