Cal 2-27 Performance

Anyone know these boats? Been told they are sturdy boats which sail well to all points. Could use some help before I make a decision. Thanks, Howard

We bought a Cal 2-27 in 1977 new and just got out of it last year. It is a great all round'' boat. It is light to the touch and a very good performer. Nice layout inside ( they just don''t make em that way anymore)

Practical Sailor has a comprhensive review of these boats in their book "Practical Boat Buying", it''s a two volume set for 59.95. You can also get this review on line at <www.practical-sailor.com> . I found the book very helpful during my own boat shopping experience. Jim L
