Lancer 28

I am looking for a new boat. I am test sailing a lancer 28 next weekend and it looks to be in excellent shape and with an owner who is very devoted to maintaining the boat.

I have been searching the web for info and there is not a long out there. Can anyone give me any directions? Are these good boats? Opinions?

I just bought a beaten up lancer that I'm working on and managed to obtain a user manual from another owner that created his own website. Here is a copy.

I have a Lancer 28, and I do not like it (it was super cheap though). It has a stong weather helm, is very tender and just not alot of fun to sail. Of course this is just my opinion.

It makes a fine pirate flag pole though!
