Cheap Seafarer...

So I've been looking to buy a trailer for my boat to haul it from San fran to Southern Cali considering I don't feel comfortable sailing the boat on the open ocean. So anyways I found a 24' Seafarer sitting on a tandom axle trailer for 500 bucks. The guy says he has to many boats and doesn't want this one anymore. If the trailer works for my boat how much do you think I'd be able to sell the boat for considering it is in decent condition?? I'm going to go over tomorrow to take a look at everything.

I think the reason the guy is selling the boat and trailer combo so cheap is because the guy lives pretty far from any water. I on the other hand don't so I think I would be able to make a quick profit off of the boat. Does this sound likly??

Does it matter? If the trailer is a fit, donate the boat to one of the many charities that handle these kinds of deals. A serviceable trailer for $500 sounds good to me.
