For a review of this boat by Jack Hornor (naval architect and marine surveyor in Annapolis, and SpinSheet columnist) go to:

Sounds like it would be a great boat for the Chesapeake. But I''m biased. I own a P-27.

The Pearson 28 is good solid transportation. Should prove reliable but not exactly exciting. These are not great air or heavy air boats and the Chespeake puts a premium on light air performance (or a good engine)

I''m in the process of trying to sell my live aboard and want to go sailing. Looking for a late 80''s pearson on the bay wifes all for it the previous messages alluded to light and heavy air handleing difficulties as an owner whats up I can understand the heavy air but not really the light air handleing.are there groups that race this boat in the area. what type engine do they have and is it enough for the bay thanks again keep in touch

If you buy that Coronado we will kick you out of the Pearson Sailing Association AND (EVEN WORSE) you have to return that tube of Gen-uuu-ine Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease. :)

You''ll have to peel that tube from my cold dead hand!
