Amel Santorin for long distance cruising

Can anyone give me any information about the Amel Santorin. We are moderately experience sailors who are planning to retire in two years, sell the house and go wandering. We plan to spend a couple of years in the Carribean and then head east or west. There are a couple of Amel Santorin (early 1900s vintage) on the market that look like they might be what we are looking for. Any opinions or insights would be appreciated.
