Moody 41,419,422

I'm new to boating and am looking for a live aboard with cruising capabilities.
I intend to spend 2-3 years in Southern Ca. then head to warmer Mexico and Carib climate. Does anyone out there own any of the above Moodys? How do they sail. Especially the 422 centerboard. Thanks

In general Moodys sail pretty well, I have a 47 of that general vintage and love it.

You might want to ask this question on the Moody UK boat owners board - odds are you will get direct feedback. Also the Sailnet moody list might be worth a post.

I agree with john, I own a moody 425 1989 cc. The boat is comfortable, points, and sails very well even in rough weather there are a (blue water) cruiser. I’m very pleased with it and willing to take her anywhere.
Ps The 425 models and the 422, 419 are the same accept for the interior laid outs.
