Nice job on that post CD. Although I have been sailing for 30+ years, I am a new member to sailnet. I am always learning here. None of us are as smart as all of us!

I have been a membr of sailnet since sometime early 2003. I learned how to sail racing everything from Nacra 5.0 to 2003 Bene 40 1st. Crewing on a race boat tought me how to sail.

I bought a sailboat that needed a lot of work (or a hole drilled in it) and i pretty much learned how to refit her from the articles and info from this site.

I just finished reading a thread i had missed about a guy sailing from Texas to North Carolina and was amazed at all the help and encuragement he recieved from people in this forum. Not to mention invites from sailors to stop by and visit.

I may have learned how to sail racing but I have learned to Love the lifestyle of sailing from the many good folks that contribute their time and knowledge to sailnet. Thanks for many years of education.
