The SV Marco Polo is a Marconi rigged Newporter Pilothouse Ketch.
Several Newporters have made successful passages across oceans, with the most recent circumnavigation in 2004. My boyfriend and I have a 40 foot Newporter, hull #12, which at one time belonged to Rock Hudson. We are in the process of restoring her and are currently sailing her down the eastern seabaord to Key West. We planned to sell her once the restoration is complete. Could possibly sell her once we get her down here and let the cosmetics be done by the new owner.....
