40' Newporter - Marconi rigged Pilothouse Ketch

* Year: 1957
* Current Price: US$ 24,000
* Located In San Diego, CA
* Hull Material: Fiberglass
* Engine/Fuel Type: Single Diesel
* YW# 7544-1822120

it is on Yachtworld dot com
The SV Marco Polo is a Marconi rigged Newporter Pilothouse Ketch.
Several Newporters have made successful passages across oceans, with the most recent circumnavigation in 2004. This boat has been rigged for singlehanded, with all lines lead aft, slab reefing and all controls in easy reach when at the helm. The beautiful clipper bow will ride OVER waves and swell, not under them. The skeg mounted rudder and full keel give this boat true bluewater qualities, features that serious cruisers understand

Newporter possibly for sale

My boyfriend and I have a 40 foot Newporter, hull #12, which at one time belonged to Rock Hudson. We are in the process of restoring her and are currently sailing her down the eastern seabaord to Key West. We planned to sell her once the restoration is complete. Could possibly sell her once we get her down here and let the cosmetics be done by the new owner.....
