islander 40 MS
I have lived on one of these for two years and have throughly enjoyed the boat. Actually, it sails quite well in light airs. There is plenty of sail area with the main, mizzen, staysail, and genoa. And the mass of the boat keeps it moving thru the puffs. I formally had a Catalina 27 that would start and stop in light airs this one keeps on ghosting along. Also, there are all kinds of sail configurations you can use in heavier weather. We have blown along with just the staysail set. (My favorite sail on the boat) A lot of boat for the money as they are reasonally priced these days.
