do i trade my rainbow 24 for a pearson ariel?

I love sailing my rainbow in portland on the columbia, But the idea of having a boat with a head, ice box and sink are nice thoughts. weekender vs. daysailor. My question is, will the pearson sail as good as the rainbow. the rainbow has a bulb keel and rudder vs pearson with the rudder mounted on the keel.

Probably not sail as well, but the head and other pleaseantries will make up for the difference. There are always "Trade-Offs"

I learned to sail on a Rainbow Weekender (same boat with a slightly larger cabin with 4 berths, and a smaller cockpit) in the Baltimore area in the 60's. It was the first of several sailboats my dad owned over the years. I now sail a Catalina 309, but have many fond memories of the Rainbow.
