Info or opinions on NA 40 sailboat

A few sailing friends of mine have pointed me in the direction of an NA40 that is for sale locally. They are making all kinds of positve comments about the boats and are adament that I should look at the one for sale here. Searching on the internet has revealed very little about them. There are a few listed on Yachtworld, and an NA 40 won the overall in the Chicago-Mac this year, but I have found little else.

I am looking for a racer-cruiser, or maybe performance-cruiser boat that my wife and I could doublehand cruise here on the Great Lakes. The boat we buy would be daysailed most often, with some weekend cruises and hopefully 1-2 week long journeys each year. Although it is not in the immediate plans, I would like a boat that could be raced if we choose to in the future. (We currently crew for another boat that races almost all the local events, and don't want to give that up yet as we are having too much fun.)

Anyone here have any info or experience on the NA 40 they could share?
