S@ 10.3 (34')

I'm going cruising, Great Lakes, and want something I can single-hand. (I'm a recovering racer.) Found a well-priced freshwater S2 10.3 in MI and have "some" interest. My experience indicates they are good values and high on performance and my reserach indicates that this model can have some structural issues in front of the mast. What do y'all think? Good or bad idea? (Other choices are C&C 34 and a Tartan 34...all around early 80's.)

Hi, I'm partial to the C@C(I know many sailors that love them here in Ontario) as I singlehand a 83' 24 myself. I picked it up in Michigan where ther are plenty of good deals. I find it easy to handle and a well built, plenty quick boat. All are good boats though. Good luck.
