Hi ; I am looking for a 28-32 foot boat to cruise the east coast and Bahamas with my wife. We have a 1996 goldwing motorcycle that we will be getting rid of before we go cruising. Has anyone had much success with trades with money to boot or should I just sell the motorcycle and buy a boat??? The moorcycle is worth around $10-11000 and I am looking for a boat in the $20,000 range. Any help will be appreciated.

I would say sell the bike. Then use the money to buy the boat. I''ve done some trading over the years, it can work but it usually ends up with a lot of negotiations and no real deal. Each side is trying to get full price for their item and a cheap price from the other guy. Its far better to have a cash offer. Then the guy has a real reason to discount without trying to knock the value of what you are selling.

C172,
You are better off selling the bike outright I agree with Jeff.
In the mean time I have an S-2 perfect for what you want listed in E-Bay.(NY)
