Slips in Fairfield CT

Any ideas where to find listings for available boat slips in LI sound - CT coast (Norwalk would be ideal)? I found a couple of websites, but very few listings.

Check out ActiveCaptain - it will show you ALL the marine services in a particular geographic area. Browse the map, click on the site that looks good to you, and it will show their phone number and address, and any reviews that have been entered by other members.

Note that the site will require you to register to use it. Also note that I have been using it for over two years now, and to date have received maybe 3 emails from them (about new versions or services)

The Cruising Guide to the New England Coast (Robt. Duncan et al, W.W. Norton & Co., publishers) mentions the South Norwalk Boat Club, Total Marine, Rex Marine Center, Norwest Marine, Maurice Marine, and Norwalk Cove Marina. Your library may have a copy of the book. Also try Atlantic Cruising Club's Guide to Long Island Sound Marinas (book plus CD-ROM).

I live in the area and I think you just have to call around. Cove Marina in Norwalk is the biggest by far. Not really a lot of slips for sail/keel boats other than Cove in Norwalk.

There are sometimes slips advertised on craigslist, or you can advertise you looking for a slip as well.

What size boat and what is the draft? There are a lot of marinas in the area but some are a little shallow.
