My New (Old) Boat

As of today I am the proud owner of a 2002 Valiant 42. It is currently at the Valiant factory on Lake Texoma in northern Texas (think CruisingDad). I will have a significant amount of work done at the factory, and then will ship her by truck to Morehead City, NC -- where further work will be done, and she will be recommissioned. She will sail to her new temporary home in New Bern or Oriental, NC. I'm calling her "Krystal Seas." The first word in her name is the German equivalent of my youngest daughter's first name, "Christine." (My last boat was named "Liesl" after my oldest daughter. "Liesl" is the German equivalent of "little Lisa.")

She is presently documented with the USCG under the name "Railin." An application for change of ownership and name was sent to the USCG today.

I'm very excited about it!

See you out there.

Fritz

If I had all the money in the world and could get any boat I wanted, I would pick the Valiant 42! Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!

Congrats!! She is a beautiful boat. Went down and walked by her again last weekend. Add a few grills, and you will be ready to go!

See ya there.
