Surveyor recommendation needed - NY area

Hi all,
I am interested in a boat (several actually) in the area of NYC, northern NJ, and Long Island. If I make an offer, I'd like to have my own surveyor lined up, not the one suggested by the broker.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a thorough surveyor in that area?

The only guy I would use is Charlie, I knowed him for years!
