I can recommend Bob Turner (based in Annapolis . . . relatively close)

PalmettoSailor will become famous soon enough
I used David Manning (410)263-5852 based on feedback on this forum and I was very pleased with the service provided.

Others I considered based on info from this site and others include Jack Hornor(410)451-8133, Tarn Kelsey (don't have a number)and Gale Browning or Peter Hartoft(800)438-2827.

I went with Mr. Manning based on reputation and availablity and would recommend him with no reservation.

Oh, yeah -- Good Luck with the survey. I'll hold congratulations until you tell us the deal is closed.

I second that. Derek is very thorough, though not cheap. His survey found a few things which I had the owner fix and I was able to negotiate the purchase price down another $2000.

Ed,
If you don't mind me asking (as I am also currently looking for a boat), did the owner accept your lowball offer?.........or did you guys do the 'back and forth' thang?

Just tryin' to get a feel for the current market place.

I've recommended David Manning here before, and happy to do so again.
