Looking for the good,bad and the ugly facts about 8.5 s-2 I''ve read the Practical Sailor article on them but looking for input from those who own and sail them.

I have an 1980 8.0, but don''t know how similar these two boats are. sails very well. Great construction and solid boat Check the support in the bilge under the mast for rot. If it has the saildrive, forget that. check rudder condition. check hull-aft part of keel for freezing damage.

I, too am looking for more information re: an S2 11.0 CC. As there were so few made, its tough...but I did come across a good site that gives you some detailed info, although no reviews. It's the S2 Owners site.
