1981 C&C 32
There are quite a few C&C 29''s around and they sell very well in our neck of the woods. I have not seen any other 32''s and don''t know that much about them. Is there some reason these boats are not as popular? Are there significant design differences between this boat and the 29 besides LOA?

Thanks for your help.

1981 C&C 32
check out

Also post the question on the c&c owners group email list on Topica

I don''t ever recall seeing a C&C 32 and C&C Yachts are very popular here in Halifax. Look at the C&C 30 if you have a choice as it is a very well thought of boat (Mark I).

Are you sure it is not a C&C 33 or a Ontario 32? Both are nice boats.

1981 C&C 32
Besides having what IMHO is a somewhat nontraditional layout below,(rather more plastic than some others) the C&C 32 has a reputation around here for being quite slow. There are not a lot of them around -- possibly for this reason. The 33 or 35 on the other hand seem to sail better and are more popular.

Any other responses? I just wanted to bring this back up to the top to see if anyone else has any comments. Any 32 owners who would like to talk about thier boats?

Owned a 32 C&C 8yrs
and its a fine sailing vessel. Can't really compare speed because I've never sailed anything similar. The other 32 was a Island Packet and that was definitely slow. The C&C is very good in heavy weather, I have sailed 3 times in heavy weather from Chicago to south Haven twice single handed and the boat couldn't have been easier to handle, very solid. I've had zero equipment breakage. It's pretty much in the same condition as when it first set sail in 81 there is virtually no wear in the interior, all original cloth. I'ts hull speed is 7.2 and I have at time surpassed that surfing down a wave or two. It will beat to wind very well especially if it's an off shore breeze. I have seen them for sale for more than I paid 8yrs ago and rightfully so they are well built boats, I'd still pay what I paid 8yrs ago and be happy about it. They say boats nickle and dime you and I say, I can handle the nickle and dimes. The boat is worth every penny I paid. I go to the sail show every year in chicago and have not been even tempted, I'm sure the new C&C's sail better, faster but how much faster.
If anyone has a comp boat I'd like to know how fast they sail. Thanks and keep sailing. O

So what SD...WTF do you care if he wants to add his opinion on his boat. If somebody searches for C&C 32 tomorrow they will get old opinions and now a new one - nothing wrong with that!

Your stressin SD, you gotta chill. Sonofasailor said it for me. Thanks by the way. If you haven't noticed there are a few C&C 32 out there for sale, that's how I found this.
