McVay Micmac

Anyone know anything about them? I've found one that is very very very nicely priced though it needs a good amount of TLC. I am in the market for my first sailboat to live aboard. I think it will be quite a bit cheaper than what I am paying for rent and well c'mon I'd be living on the water!!! It beats the hell out of my waterfront apt!!

Ok so the 26' McVay micmac, also known as the 26' Victoria?

Sailormann will become famous soon enough
McVay built a good quality boat. It's a bit small for liveaboard perhaps - perhaps not. They do not sail very quickly, but they do not turn over very easily either so all - in all a fair trade off.

When you are looking at a fixer-upper and particularly when you are looking at a fairly obscure class of boat such as this, remember that you are not likely to recoup the money you invest.

Good0 Luck !

Did you ever find out more about this boat?
Is it a Victoria 26 designed by McVay?
