1989 Oceanis 390

My wife and I are in the process of buying a 1989 Oceanis 390 for sailing in the Chesapeake and east coast. This will be my first ownership experience. Should I be nervous about the iron keel? I have also heard about delamination issues with 1980s beneteaus. Can anyone shed anylight on this?

I would also appreciate any other insights into the 390 as well as problems, issues I should look at.
