If unlimited budget, what boat would you purchase?

Stretch a bit in size and go for a S&S designed Swan 47. Ever read "Force 10 at Fastnet" by John Rousmaniere? I spent many 1,000''s of miles sailing on "Toscana", including doing the original commisionning and shakedown sails in ''76, Bermuda Race, Annapolis to Newport etc.

While many of the other boats during the Fastnet were flowndering, "Toscana" was powering along under reefs and storm ''chute.

We had a nickname for her..."Flying Furniture" A yacht in the truest sense of the word, and seaworthy in the extreme.

In my opinion, the ultimate sailboat.

Oyster gets my vote. Strong, liveable, nice looking.

As I am a rank beginner and really know nothing about boats, I can only say what appeals to me. Thus far, the prettiest boat (in my opinion) is a Cabo Rico. I love the lines and the "old world look" to their vessels. Also, since I really love tall ships, I''d probably want it triple masted and square rigged! Kind of like a "baby pirate ship."
