I''m going to look at a 1971 Westerly 25, w/single cast iron keel that is for sale. Know very little about Westerlys. Are they good boats? Would be used in bay and sometimes in the gulf of Mexico
My parents had a westerly 32 some years ago and it was a solidly built boat. No ammenities but solidly built. The boat was not 31 years old though - and a lot can happen to a well built boat in 31 years. Also probably is not a good light air boat as English company builds for conditions there.

Well, if you haven''t looked at her yet or are still deciding. They are well built boats. Westerly has a great reputation. Not a light air boat, heavy construction, lots of wetted surface.
