annopolis sailboats
Annapolis Sailing School used to use Annapolis 25s and 26s in their cruising courses. Between the two boats, the 25 is the older design. In the 1970s, when I took a cruising course at Annapolis (St. Petersburg) the 26 was a new design. I sailed both the 25 and the 26, and the 25 had very nearly the speed and pointing ability of the 26, although neither of them is a racer. The 26 had considerably more interior space than the 25. At the time they both struck me as being fairly sturdy coastal cruisers. The 26 had the appearance of the Clorox bottle designs that were commonplace in the 1980s. The 25 had an appearance that was more common in the 1950s and early 1960s. I''m sorry I can''t be more descriptive. It has been a long time since I''ve seen them.
