First time buyer.......

I'm looking to buy my first yacht in the UK. I understand boats generally and engineering but not necessarily the do's and don'ts of 30 footers. A Samphire 29 has caught my eye and I'm wondering if anyone can assist me in what i should be looking out for specific to that particular design? It was built in 1977, is well appointed, apparently in good nick but I don't want to end up with some huge bils for things I didn't notice! Yes, I'll get a survey but I'm still keen to understand the idiosyncracies of this particular type of boat. Many thanks in anticpation....
