Since I started all this hullabaloo I thought I''d respond to several of the suggestions so far. I have looked into the Tartan 37 but found it more of a racer/cruiser tnan a cruiser/racer. It just doesn''t have the below deck "feel" i''m looking for. Thus the personal side of our choices. I saw an interesting boat on yachtworld today and wonder if anyone has any knowledge about this boat. It''s a Horizon 39. Great looking boat, classic lines, airy cabin with 12 opening brass ports. Incredible equipment and set up for cruising. Please let me know if any of you can enlighten me. Otherwise the Peasrson 365 still holds top-o-the-list position. It''s an exciting time...loking for the next boat. thank you all,
Dave

Dave, too bad you don''t like the Tartan 37, its a fine boat. We decided on a Tartan 33 with a 4''8" draft scheel keel for FL/Bahamas waters. The Pearson you like is also a good boat. Can''t comment about the Horizon or its build quality.
