Desing differences Jeanneau

Looking for knowledge. The 44i is designed by Philippe Briand and the 42i by Marc Lombard. Can anyone shed light on what are the actual design differences and what are the pluses or minuses of each?
Also the 42i has its side stays attached to the side of the hull, does this limit the use of a large Genoa?
