Self made mooring

I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, near Alabama. I would like to figure out if I can Put a permanent mooring in for my sailboat, instead of just anchoring in the general area everyday. Thanks in advance for any help.

Up here, they come around after a week or two and ask where your mooring mermit is. That gets you a trip to court and a fine.

You could check to see what the local rules are. Ask other boaters in the area, or lookup the town code on line.

Regards,
Brad
