A Peek a Boat, and Reference Deltaville, VA Needed, Wanted

I have become interested in a boat which is on the hard near Deltaville, VA
or more specifically .. Reedville, VA

That is a long long way from home base, for me.

I'd like to find a local sailor, familiar with the area, who
can do a Peek a Boat, for me.

Basically, I just am trying to find out if the boat is sound. The hull,
deck, below water line, rudder.. that sort of thing.

I know she looks like S... with a T at the end ..

At least the photos of the interior I've seen are %^$390#$

But :: if she is sound, has good rigging, sails, blah blah ..

So, if you are a Deltaville or Reedville Sailor? Sailboat owner?

Send me a note.

Thomas at 603-622-0688

Sailnet is the best .. Thanks

Why don't you give us a link to the boat on the off chance that someone here is already familiar with it.

Chuck . . I will, but first I think I should speak with the owner/seller just to get a second A OK.. She is so far from my home, 11 hour drive, that I need to do everything I can think of in terms of positive of negative feedback before making the drive. So far, I have called a local boatyard, local boat repair guy, and I will be speaking with a local surveyor. She is out there,, at least one hour from Deltaville. And Deltaville looks like a long drive from nearby cities as well. Let me see how this posting goes. Thanks for the input though. I hate getting jacked up with a boat purchase, because so many have hidden flaws.

I understand your wanting to check with the seller first.
If you get to the point of needing a surveyor, try Don McCann in White Stone (about 1/2 hour from Reedville). Welcome - Tranquil Waters Marine Services
He has an excellent reputation. I plan to use him in the spring when I find my next boat.

I have a boat in reedville, but wont be back till after the holidays.

That derelict boat was another dream for somebody else, don't let it be your nightmare and a waste of your life.

Thomas [jaspar windvane], I have spent a lot of time looking at another Bristol 32 for you here in St. Augustine. You did not show up after arranging meetings twice, nor did you call the involved parties to let them know that you were not coming. If you were serious about buying a boat, many would be willing to help you out, but it's no fun to go keel kicking for others who aren't going to follow through. Our time is just as valuable as yours.
