Stinkpotter takes to Sailing
I''m a lifetime power boater(45+years) and converted sailor for two years. My experience is two years of day sails in the Atlantic-solo in a Merit-25. I don''t presume to know very much about sailing except that I love to sail (mostly alone because my stinkpot friends can''t figure it or me out) I want to go to 35'' and be able to sail North to NY and south to Cape May, for now at least. My requirements are: safety, reliability, ease of handling especially solo, resale value, classic looks. I''m not interested in racing but I''m coming from a Merit-25 So I''m used to a boat that will turn when I want to turn and I want to get home in time for dinner. The boats that have been suggested are: Sabre, Ericson,Tartan, and Pearson. I welcome the suggestions of all you sailing experts.
