Dufour 42 Sparkman & Stevens

I would like to buy this boat for bluewater sailing and liveaboard.
Does anybody have practical sailing experience (maybe owned..) of this
boat? I am in the sad and exciting condition to sell my 34' after 9 years of honest service looking for a bigger one...

I don't know where you are but there is only 1 for sale in the US at the moment. I would think there are a few better choices for bluewater sailing. I would suggest you list your requirements and look for boats that meet them. There are many good boats out there - don't limit yourself to just one.

Yes Brian..you are right. Maybe I fall in love to easily..with well designed
boats (not only for downwind..). I live in Rome. Here there are plenty of
day cruisers, fast cruisers..not many SAILING CRUISERS.
I shall go on looking around. Thank you for suggestion.

The interior looks well done. The best use of plastic woodgrain laminate I've seen.

Nice looking boat.... but the V berth looks pretty tight for a 40+ footer... probably has a large aft cabin though...
