boat recommends ?

Im looking for a boat for coastal cruising in east florida (Vero area), mostly ICW with trips to the Keys/bahamas/tortugas now and again.Will be myself,wife and 2 preteen daughters. Im looking in the 30''range as anything much smaller wont work for my wife, also want to stay with diesel motor if possible. I''m working with about 14K now or could wait another year and look in the 20K range. I dont mind doing work to get her up to speed but recoring a deck (etc)is above my present knowledge level. I would appreciate feedback on any makes/models recommmended for possible purchase. Trying to stay 1970''s or younger and draft 5'' or less and shower (cockpit ok) required for wife.

Having also had two pre-teen daughters,let me simply suggest the largest possible boat you can get, with as many separate compartments as possible, and, due to your cruising area,the best ventilation you can finagle. They''re out there- you just have to find them.
