That would be an "Out Island",- there is such a thing as an "Islander", but no "Outislander". Though, I've been on a 51' I'm more familiar with the 41' that I've owned since '85. The year affects the concerns, but a Morgan Out Island of the 70's, of which I've owned two over the last 37 years, these are a few of the cautions: Look for a hairline delamination crack forming between the port & starboard halves of the rudder, if a rebuild is not required, maybe a preventative fiberglass tabbing around the seam of these two glued halves. Look for corrosion at the base of the aluminum mast where it sits on it's steel step. Look at backing plate under the stem-head fitting at the forestay . If it has the original fuel tanks, they may be near leaking or worse. These are some common issues with early 1970's Morgans. Of course, no vessel is immune to all kinds of problems,- 'take care and joy, Aythya crew
