new and use? Or used and make new?

The age old question...buy it new and use it? Or buy it used and make it new again by refinishing? Any thoughts? I've got time and SOME (not a lot) of money on my side, if that helps.

Around the world, or around the lake. Share your passion.

I for one could use some clues Chris.
Are we talking about sailboats, outboards, dinghy's, screws, paint?
If boats, any particular size, make, model, intended use?

This is a conversation I like to get into but I would like to know where to get started. If it is philosophical question we have another section for that.

It would help if you said what you were talking about... or are you just spamming the forums to drive traffic to your website???

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
