Re: Interesting Sailboats

Bob, do your dinghy’s come with a dress code? Are white dinner jackets a requirement on one of your bigger boats?

Re: Interesting Sailboats

How about a stitch & glue variant of the Peenpod?

Re: Interesting Sailboats

Stich and glue just would not feel right in a pulling boat. Now cedar strip laminate with Norway bitch seats.

Re: Interesting Sailboats

The story behind me sailing the P'winkle in coat and tie is this:
I wore a tie to work for years just for the fun of it. I liked dressing up for work. The P'Winkle was launched just below my office and I went down to sail it carrying a change of clothes with me. When I got to the dock the P'Winkle was ready to go and I was so excited I just took off my shoes and jumped in and off I went. I really gave no thought to how I was dressed. It is kind of cool though.

Re: Interesting Sailboats

Yes I did. That is the 8' Perrywinkle double ender.

Have to run now. Big Perry Rendezvous this weekend. Probably get 50 boats and 200 people for a really nice party in Port Ludlow. They like my designs.

Re: Interesting Sailboats

Hi all.
I've been 3 months reading this post and just arrived at the end and it is almost destroyed.
I haven't seen in it a really interesting boat for many many posts.
Surely it is a question on what i understand as an interesting sailboat. I will keep the faith in the people that comes here and hope we can keep talking about interesting sailboats.
