first time buyer 30 footer

Hello,

I'm in the San Francisco area and I was looking at purchasing my first boat. I love sailing and the boat would double as a place to crash in the city (I live an hour away from SF).

One of the boat I saw was a 1979 S2 9.2A. New engine, sailboat looks very clean at first visit.

How would a boat like that do on the bay, could I take her confidently past the Golden Gate bridge (assuming I don't joke with the weather)?

How much "fun" would she be sailing and finally, is there something I need to know about these boats that is not already clearly indicated in the reviews ( how is the encapsulated keel aging etc...)

Thanks
