Surveyor recommendation? (Southern MA)

We'll need an insurance survey on our new-to-us Tartan 27.

Any recommendations from folks in the area? The boat is in Mattapoisett, MA. Also, any info on how much such surveys usually cost would be nice for budget planning purposes.

We used Peter Hunt :Marine and Yacht Surveyors Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine , CT, SAMS AMS surveyor

Great guy, reasonable rates, very thorough. I understand he used to work for Cape Dory Yachts back in the day (he surveyed a CD27 for us in Marion).

I also used Peter Hunt for my O'Day 27 in Mattapoisett, and second nomchang's recommendation.

Thanks guys. I just spoke with Peter today. Liked him right away, at least on the phone We've made arrangements for an inspection.

Thanks again!
