Hunter..or Maxi

Confused about the purchase of my first boat..
I have a choice between a 1995 Hunter 29.5 short keel.. or a 1984 Maxi Racer...

What would u do? any comments on those two particular boats?

Hi, SEAJM,

as always, depends on where and how you want to sail... I am going through my first boat purchase too, and Hunter 29.5 is not an option for me - no traveller (and I like to use it where we sail) and no V-berth where we can put our baby. But for your purposes, may be a great boat...

SEAJM....

I own a Maxi Fenix which was built in 1982. It is a super quality boat that sails very well. All of the gear is top notch. You didn''t mention price. The Hunter is quite a lot newer. So..... depending on price and condition.... I would buy the Maxi everytime!
