Caliber 28 info?
Since none of the usual experts has offered an opinion, here''s a little something to go on. Caliber has a very god reputation for building quality boats, and for customer service. The 28 was their first boat and has an amazing amount of space below. Of course, all that interior volume comes at the expense (at least to my eye) of looks. The 28 is boxy and ungainly looking to me. Although I have never sailed on one, the reputation is that the boat is a stodgy performer. Shoal draft befitting its Florida roots. It''s all in what you''re looking for. This is the classic trade off of so many boats these days -- accommodations vs. sailing performance.
Why not ask your question on the Caliber email list here on Sailnet? Click on the button to the left that says "Join E-mail Lists." Or email me directly because I do have an acquaintance who owns one. Good luck.
