thoughts on mariner 39?

I recently saw an interesting boat, a Mariner 39. It's made by the now-defunct company from NH, not the one in Japan. I like the design a lot. It has a center cockpit with nice aft master stateroom. The galley and saloon seem a little cramped, but that's probably because of the generous forward cabin. This is the same boat as the folks at sailzora.com have (a site which I have read completely, I think), except I believe the one I looked at is the non-Moorings layout. The electronics seem to have all been updated in the mid/late 90s. I assume everything else is original, but I have no idea.

Does anyone know anything of the sailing qualities of this boat? Any common problems that I should be aware of? Do you think it would make a good liveaboard? Other thoughts on this design? I'm just trying to see what peoples' impressions are of this boat, since I like it a lot and it is near the top of my list of prospective choices. Thanks.
